Naperville Police Arrest Three in Motor Vehicle Burglary Incident on Westminster Drive

Naperville, IL – Early Friday morning, three individuals were arrested in Naperville following a motor vehicle burglary incident. 

At approximately 5:53 a.m., Naperville Police were called to Westminster Drive after receiving reports of a suspicious person checking car door handles. Officers quickly located three suspects in a nearby vehicle. During questioning, the suspects attempted to flee but were subsequently apprehended. Two juveniles and one adult, identified as John J. Bailey, 19, of Chicago, were charged with burglary and other misdemeanors.

According to Naperville Police Chief Jason Arres, the swift arrest was aided by vigilant citizens who responded to a police alert and reported the suspects. Chief Arres praised the collaborative effort between the community and police, emphasizing its role in maintaining local safety. The police department also reiterated that all charges are accusations, and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
