Nashville, TN – A catastrophic event unfolded on I-24 East near Harding Place just before midnight on Sunday, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Keijhan Ameer Roby and serious injuries to another individual. Roby, who was seated in the rear of a white Dodge Charger, perished when the vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Daniel Lorenzo Tyler, struck a rock wall after losing control while speeding and maneuvering past other cars on the shoulder.
According to the preliminary investigation, the Charger was eastbound at a high velocity, undertaking risky passes before Tyler lost control, causing the vehicle to rotate and collide with the wall via its rear side. Roby died at the scene, while Tyler sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The front seat passenger miraculously escaped unscathed.
Authorities noted no signs of impairment at the crash site, but the investigation remains ongoing to further determine the dynamics of this tragic incident.
