Wheaton, IL – The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office has announced that starting tomorrow, May 1, at 7:00 a.m., it will begin utilizing DU-COMM for its dispatching services.
This shift aims to leverage DU-COMM’s extensive capabilities, serving as one of Illinois’ largest consolidated 9-1-1 communication centers supporting numerous police, fire, and EMS agencies. This transition is expected to maintain the high standard of emergency services provided to the community, with assurances from local officials that there will be no negative impacts on the responsiveness or efficiency of emergency response.
Residents needing emergency services should continue to dial 9-1-1, while non-emergency calls can be directed to 630-407-2400. The sheriff’s office has expressed gratitude to the Addison Consolidated Dispatch Center for its three years of dedicated service.
