Wheaton Man Discovered Dead at Tower, High School Students Witnessed Incident

Wheaton, IL – A 40-year-old man from Wheaton was found deceased at a ComEd tower in Palos Hills.

According to police reports the death was confirmed as a suicide by the medical examiner’s office, occurred near the Bridgeview Courthouse, north of 103rd Street and east of 78th Avenue. The individual, identified as Caleb Palmbos, was discovered early Thursday morning. Authorities reported that no note was found at the scene. 

The situation, witnessed by some older students from nearby Stagg High School, prompted immediate action by the Palos Hills Police Department. In response, counseling services have been offered to the affected students, emphasizing the importance of mental health support in such situations.
