KANKAKEE, IL – A tragic vehicle-pedestrian crash occurred at approximately 5:15 PM on Sunday in the 600 block of Entrance Avenue, Kankakee City Police reported.
According to police reports on arrival, officers found a pedestrian critically injured and immediately performed CPR. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital, but their injuries proved fatal. The driver involved in the incident has been cooperative with the investigation.
The name of the deceased is currently withheld pending family notification.
