Garbage Night Attack: Two Men Stabbed in Unprovoked Incident in Kankakee

KANKAKEE, IL — A routine task turned violent on Sunday night in Kankakee, as two men were stabbed in an unprovoked attack. 

The incident unfolded around 9 PM in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street, during garbage night. Local authorities report that the victims were ambushed by an unknown attacker while taking out the trash. One of the men was hospitalized with chest injuries, while his brother sustained no serious harm. 

Despite an extensive search, no weapon was found at the scene. The Kankakee Police Department is actively investigating the case and appeals to the public for any relevant information.
