South Bend, IN – A double murder unfolded at the Quality Inn & Suites near the local International Airport around 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 19.
According to police officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 4100 block of Lincoln Way West, South Bend Police officers discovered the lifeless bodies of two victims, identified as 20-year-old Amarion Kirk and 22-year-old Jasani Taylor, both succumbing to fatal gunshot wounds.
The perpetrator, reportedly seen fleeing from the scene, remain elusive despite the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit assuming charge of the now-homicide investigation. The city remains on edge as autopsies, slated for October 21, are anticipated to perhaps shed light on this chilling crime.
