Bourbonnais, IL – The Bourbonnais Township Park District is buzzing with anticipation for its upcoming ‘Critter Comforts’ event. 

Scheduled for April 27th at the Exploration Station, this new program invites children aged 4 to 8 to a hands-on experience with local woodland animals. For a $20 fee, attendees will learn to draw and paint their favorite critters and embark on a nature walk to observe wildlife in its natural setting. Spaces are limited, and registration is required 24 hours before the event.

According to the park district, ‘Critter Comforts’ aims to foster a love for nature and art, combining educational activities with outdoor exploration. Participants can choose from a selection of small wooden animals to paint and take home, enhancing their connection to the local ecosystem. With an eye toward creativity and environmental awareness, this event is a perfect weekend activity for young families in Bourbonnais.
