Kankakee, IL – Woman Tased by Police After Allegedly Threatening with Taser at Liquor Store

Kankakee, IL – A woman was tased by police after allegedly pulling a taser on another woman inside a local liquor store in Kankakee, ironically becoming the one tased herself.

According to Kankakee City Police, officers responded to a call just after 5:30 p.m. at a store on the 300 block of S. Schuyler Ave. They found 18-year-old Omauriyah Armstrong allegedly yelling at another woman about a photo taken on her phone. Armstrong reportedly admitted to pulling a taser and threatening the woman. The victim expressed a desire to press charges.

While being taken into custody, Armstrong allegedly resisted and fought with police, leading to her being tased. Armstrong faces multiple charges, including aggravated battery to a police officer and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
