Kendall County, IL – In an early morning response, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist in locating an individual sought by a nearby law enforcement agency.

The search led to Long Beach Elementary School, triggering a short-term “secure building” status as a safety protocol. This precautionary measure restricted access, preventing entry or exit from the school premises.

According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle associated with the individual was found near the school without incident and was determined to have no connection with any threats. The individual in question was subsequently located by another law enforcement agency, ensuring that there was no continuing threat to the community.

The “secure building” status was lifted promptly after the investigation, with school activities returning to normal. The Sheriff’s Office reassured residents that community safety is their utmost priority and that the situation was resolved without any danger to the public.
