Marion County, IL – Emergency Road Work on I-57 Impacts Traffic Near Salem

Marion County, IL – Beginning today, Monday, at 7:15 a.m., emergency bridge deck work on northbound Interstate 57 will cause a lane closure approximately 2.5 miles south of the US 50 Salem/Sandoval exit (Exit 116). 

The Illinois Department of Transportation has initiated this urgent repair over Crooked Creek, with the left lane scheduled to be closed until 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17. 

Drivers should anticipate delays and are encouraged to check for traffic updates on the Illinois Department of Transportation’s website.
