Schaumburg, IL – Felony Charges for Local Woman Accused of Damaging Police Property

Schaumburg, IL – A 35-year-old woman is facing felony charges following an incident at the Island Lake Police Department. Mary Larson, of the 300 block of Fermi Ct., has had an arrest warrant issued against her today, for Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property, a Class 4 Felony.

According to island Lake police reports it happened early Tuesday, at approximately 3:41 AM on April 30, Larson allegedly entered the lobby of the Island Lake Police Department and reportedly caused significant damage. Details behind the extent of the damage has not yet been released at this time while the motives behind her actions remain unclear. The police were able to identify Larson as the suspect with the help of community members who responded to a video released by the authorities.

The Island Lake Police Department has expressed its gratitude to the public for their crucial role in identifying the offender. The case is ongoing, and further details will be disclosed as the investigation progresses.
