Tuscola, IL – A large pothole on Interstate 57 northbound, just south of the Pesotum exit, is causing significant traffic delays and rerouting.

Illinois State Police Troop 7 has implemented a detour starting at milepost 212 (Tuscola/Route 36), with re-entry permitted at milepost 220 (Pesotum). The disruption stems from the pothole situated within an active construction zone, necessitating immediate repairs for motorist safety.

Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes or allow for additional travel time until the lane reopens following repair work.
