Normal, IL – A Chicago man was arrested on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in a vehicular hijacking that occurred last week in Normal, Illinois. On April 18, authorities were called to the 1500 block of W. Raab Road after reports that a man had assaulted a vehicle owner and fled with his car. The victim, who sustained minor injuries, declined medical treatment at the scene.
The Normal Police Department (NPD), with support from the US Marshal’s Task Force, apprehended 18-year-old Kendu Fisher-Edwards on a McLean County warrant. The stolen vehicle was initially located near Main St. and Raab Rd., but the suspect evaded police, leading to a high-speed chase.
Fisher-Edwards faces charges of vehicular hijacking, with all legal proceedings overseen by the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Authorities urge anyone with additional information to contact NPD or use the department’s anonymous Tip411 service.
