Two Killed in Route 150 Collision Near Peoria, Illinois

PEORIA, IL – A devastating crash on Route 150 near Peoria, Illinois, on Friday resulted in two fatalities. 

According to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred in Kickapoo Township around 6:35 p.m. Deputies found a 76-year-old woman from Edelstein and a 67-year-old man from Macomb in separate vehicles, both pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Investigators report the accident occurred after the woman from Edelstein’s vehicle attempted to overtake another vehicle and subsequently colliding head-on with another vehicle, driven by the unidentified man from Macomb, is still under investigation. 

The Peoria County Coroner will release further details regarding the identities of the deceased. Brim-field Fire Department and AMT provided assistance at the crash site.
