Frankfort, IL – In a heartfelt plea for community assistance, the Frankfort Police Department has taken to social media to locate the owner of a dog recently injured in a traffic incident.

The dog, a female, was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Colorado Avenue and La Grange Road in Frankfort. Despite the severity of the incident, veterinary staff at Balanced Body Vet Clinic, where the dog is currently hospitalized, have confirmed that her injuries are superficial and she is stable after receiving necessary surgical attention.

Notably, the dog is not microchipped, complicating efforts to reunite her with her owner. Local residents are urged to come forward with any information by contacting the clinic at 815-469-3346.
