Oregon, IL – In a significant law enforcement operation, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, supported by the Oregon Police Department, discovered an arsenal in an Oregon home, leading to the arrest and subsequent release of a local man.

According to investigators, the raid, executed Monday on North 7th Street, targeted 36-year-old Christopher L. Cash following a lengthy investigation. Authorities reported that Cash was booked on multiple charges, including two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and several weapon-related felonies, due to possessing a weapon and ammunition with a revoked Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card. Among the items seized were a silencer, drug paraphernalia, and various firearms and ammunition.

Despite the serious nature of the charges, Cash was released under the Pretrial Fairness Act and awaits a future court date.
