Decatur, IL – A Decatur resident was arrested early this morning following a high-speed chase on Interstate 74.

At just past midnight, Indiana State Trooper Howell attempted to stop 19-year-old Lysirick Miller for speeding. However, Miller reportedly took off leading troopers on a pursuit east. The chase continued until the 33-mile marker where Crawfordsville Police successfully deployed tire deflation devices. Miller’s 2017 Chevrolet Impala was stopped on the exit ramp to US 231. He was taken into custody without incident and later transported to Montgomery County Jail.

Miller is now facing preliminary charges including resisting law enforcement, reckless driving, and criminal recklessness.
