Peotone, Illinois Announces $3.3 Million Downtown Revitalization Project; Open House Scheduled

Peotone, IL – The Village of Peotone is set to undergo a transformative streetscape project aimed at revitalizing the downtown area. 

According to the announcement by Mayor Peter March, the project will feature new infrastructure, modern lighting, event spaces, and improved pedestrian areas, supported by a $3.3 million grant from the State of Illinois. The construction is expected to start this April and residents are invited to an Open House on April 3 to learn more. 

The project, anticipated to cover over 75% of costs through state funding, emphasizes economic growth and community development. Residents can stay informed by subscribing to the Village E-newsletter and engaging with the community through new social media channels.
