Ellettsville, IN – The 23rd annual Cops Cycling for Survivors bicycle tour is set to traverse Indiana, commencing on July 8, 2024.
This significant event spans nearly 1,000 miles over the course of 13 days, concluding at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis on July 20. The tour aims to honor and remember law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, while also supporting the families they left behind.
Participants will visit key locations across the state including Richmond, Bluffton, and South Bend, offering local communities a chance to engage with and support the cause. The tour not only commemorates fallen officers but also raises funds for critical survivor support services such as scholarships and camps.
This year holds particular significance as it marks the 200th anniversary of Indiana’s first known line-of-duty death, honoring Constable Robert Murphy of Bath Township. The initiative continues to highlight the bravery of officers through history with a support truck showcasing the names and photographs of recently recognized officers.
As the cyclists journey through Indiana, they carry forward the legacy of those who served and sacrificed, urging community members to join in solidarity and remembrance. Full dates and stops can be found below:
