Dyer, IN – Afternoon Crashes Leave Intersection Cluttered with Debris

Dyer, IN – A series of vehicular collisions on Tuesday afternoon left a major intersection in Dyer, Indiana, strewn with debris. 

According to police multiple incidents occurred at the crossroads of 213th Street and Calumet Avenue, prompting a swift response from local emergency services. The Dyer Police Department reported the multiple crashes, which led to the deployment of both police and fire department personnel to the scene. Commuters were faced with road closures and were urged to avoid the area as cleanup and investigations commenced. 

The cause of the crashes is under review, and the number of vehicles involved along with potential injuries are currently being assessed. It’s unknown at this time if anyone was injured in any of the incidents. Authorities aim to reopen the roads swiftly once the area is deemed safe for the public.
