East Chicago, IN – In a reported crackdown on drug trafficking, 44-year-old Robert L. Lipsey from East Chicago was arrested on April 5, 2024, facing three alleged counts of dealing cocaine, classified as a Level 2 Felony.Â
The arrest occurred at Lipsey’s residence at 4015 Butternut Street, following a meticulous three-month investigation led by HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas) and the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration).
According to the East Chicago Police Department, the operation involved several alleged controlled purchases of narcotics, ultimately culminating in the execution of a federal search warrant at Lipsey’s home.
Robert Lipsey is currently being held at the Lake County Sheriff Department Jail.
