Hobart, IN – SWAT Team Responds Following Domestic Incident, Suspect Arrested

Hobart, IN – Hobart Police officers responded to a domestic battery call today at approximately 9:02 a.m. in the 200 block of East 12th Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a victim and developed probable cause to arrest a 34-year-old male resident.

According to the Hobart Police Department, the suspect refused to exit the residence, prompting officers to obtain a search warrant. Northwest Regional SWAT was called to the scene, and the suspect was subsequently taken into custody with assistance from a Hobart Police K9 unit. Charges will be presented to the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office.
