Man Dies after Single-Car Collision with Tree Porter County

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, IN – A single-car crash Thursday claimed the life of a man on C.R. 200W in Liberty Township on the evening of November 2, as reported by the Porter County Sheriff’s Police. 

The driver, whose identity has not been released, was operating a vehicle when he veered off the road for unknown reasons and struck a tree. Porter County authorities were called to the scene shortly after a witness reported the accident at approximately 6:13 p.m. They discovered the severely damaged vehicle in the middle of the road, with the driver initially alert. Despite swift transportation to Northwest Health-Porter and immediate medical attention, the man tragically passed away from his injuries. 

The Porter County Sheriff’s Police are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
