Indiana Dunes State Park Investigation Underway After Man Found Dead in Shoreline Waters

Indiana Dunes State Park, IN – An investigation is ongoing at Indiana Dunes State Park after a man was discovered deceased in approximately one foot of water along the shoreline in an apparent drowning. 

The incident was reported early this morning, prompting immediate response from the Porter and Chesterton fire departments.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found the man fully clothed and deceased by the water’s edge, just north of the Pavilion. The Indiana Conservation Officers have taken charge of the investigation, though no additional details have been released at this time. Further updates are expected as the investigation develops.
