Rensselaer, IN – A bold heist at the Loves Travel Stop in Jasper County ignited a tense pursuit along I-65 early Thursday.

According to reports it began around 3:30 a.m. when two armed suspects in ski masks entered the truck stop and demanded cash before fleeing the scene, sparking an intense chase.

Quick coordination between Jasper County deputies and surrounding police departments brought the high-speed escape to a dramatic stop with the deployment of stop sticks by Hobart Police.

The suspects, who have yet to be identified, are now in custody, with charges pending as the investigation by multiple jurisdictions continues.
