Illinois Teen Cyclist Miraculously Survives Dump Truck Collision

DIXON, IL – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office reported a shocking incident on Tuesday, where an 18-year-old was struck by a dump truck while cycling along Sterling and Franklin Roads in Amboy. 

According to Sheriff’s Department reports, the victim, identified as Evan Powers of Lee Center, was airlifted to Javon Bea Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The extent of Powers’ injuries remain undisclosed at this time.

The ongoing investigation by local authorities has yet to reveal further details of the accident, which prompted a swift response from multiple emergency units.
