Quad Cities, IA/IL – Tornadoes Possible Overnight South of I-80 Amid Severe Storms

Quad Cities, IA/IL – Residents in the Quad Cities area face a critical weather situation tonight as severe storms are set to sweep through the region, according to the National Weather Service. 

Two primary storm areas have been identified: the first along Highway 20, where winds could reach 60 MPH during and after the storms. The more severe threat lies south of I-80, where winds are expected to exceed 70 MPH, accompanied by quarter-sized hail and a significant risk of tornadoes. 

Authorities emphasize the importance of having reliable ways to receive weather warnings, especially overnight, to ensure public safety amidst these dangerous conditions.
