Scott County, IA – K9 Spike, a dedicated member of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, was laid to rest on Wednesday morning. Spike served alongside his handler, Sgt. Hill, from 2013 to 2021, contributing significantly to the department’s efforts in narcotics detection and patrol duties.
According to a press release from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, an honor procession took place from Eldridge to Bettendorf to commemorate Spike’s service. The ceremony underscored the profound impact Spike had on the community, assisting in the seizure of thousands of pounds of illegal narcotics and playing a key role in numerous search warrants and criminal apprehensions.
During the final radio broadcast, a poignant tribute was aired over Scott County/Davenport PD and Bettendorf PD channels, highlighting Spike’s accomplishments and dedication. “82-14C….
