Arapahoe County, CO – A fast-moving house fire prompted evacuations in an Aurora-area neighborhood Tuesday morning after flames engulfed one home and spread to another.

According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded shortly after 9 a.m. to the 19700 block of East Radcliff Place, where one residence was fully involved in flames. The fire quickly extended to a neighboring home, sending thick smoke visible for miles into the air.

Deputies arrived before fire crews and began evacuating residents. Authorities said one home was unoccupied, while six people and a dog were inside the second residence. All were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters from South Metro Fire Rescue and Aurora Fire Rescue responded to the scene and were able to bring the fire under control. Victim advocates were also called to assist affected families.

The extent of the damage to both homes has not been fully detailed, but images from the scene show heavy flames and smoke impacting the structures.

Officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
