Bolingbrook man identified as drowned victim near Channahon

A man found in the Des Plaines River near Channahon has been identified, according to the Will County’s Coroner’s Office.

The coroner has identified the man as 56-year-old Jeffery J. Nasman of Bolingbrook.

Nasman’s body was discovered last Monday less than a mile downstream of the I-80 Bridge near Channahon on the north side of the channel. Channahon Police and Fire Departments assisted in the recovery of the body.

Illinois State Police are investigating the incident.
