Bomb Threat at Bradley University Prompts Campus-Wide Lockdown Tuesday

PEORIA, IL – Bradley University was placed on lockdown Tuesday evening after a bomb threat was received for the Business, Engineering and Convergence Center (BECC) on campus.

The Bradley University Police Department (BUPD) responded swiftly, working in collaboration with the Peoria Police Department (PPD) and their Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) squad to thoroughly sweep the building.

The all-clear was given at 9:55 p.m., and there were no reported injuries during the operation. BUPD, which conducts regular emergency operations drills, prioritizes campus safety and takes all threats seriously. Counseling and support services are available for affected students.
