Bourbonnais, IL – Oxygen Tank Ignites House Fire, Two Injured

Bourbonnais, IL – A house fire in Bourbonnais, sparked by a cigarette lit near an oxygen tank, has left two injured and a home in ruins. 

According to Bourbonnais Fire the incident occurred this morning around 9am at TriStar Estates, located off Route 45. The fire erupted in a residence on Berry Lane, causing severe damage estimated between $30,000 and $40,000. 

One individual suffered burns to their hands and face, while another occupant was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. 

Firefighters, aided by multiple agencies, faced challenges due to Arctic temperatures and frozen hydrants while combating the blaze. The home is now considered unlivable.
