Chicago, Naperville Schools Close Amid Severe Cold, Closures

Chicago, IL – With the Midwest caught in the grip of severe winter weather, Chicago Public Schools and Naperville Community Unit School District 203 have announced closures for Tuesday, January 16th. 

This decision comes as the region battles frigid temperatures following a week of snow and rain.

Chicago Public Schools

  • Status: Closed on Tuesday, January 16th.
  • Additional Info: All after-school programming, including athletic practices and games, are canceled. There will be no remote learning.

Naperville Community Unit School District 203

  • Status: E-Learning Day on Tuesday, January 16th.
  • Additional Info: Due to the Wind Chill Warning in Naperville and surrounding areas.
