BOURBONNAIS – The Bourbonnais Township Park District (BTPD) has canceled all remaining large special events for 2020. The events have been canceled due to Restore Illinois Phase 4 guidance limiting events to 50 people or less.

Events cancelled include Scarecrow Hollow, A Night in Sleepy Hollow, the Haunted Hike, Cause for Paws, and the Turkey Trot.  “The entire district looks forward to showcasing Perry Farm in all its splendor each fall so this was a tough call to make.  But we have to prioritize the health and safety of our staff and our community”, says Hollice Clark, Executive Director.

BTPD says they will continue to service residents by offering converted virutal offerings including classes and activites to residents.

“The BTPD is still here for the community and intend to continue enriching the quality of life during these unprecedented times.  The fall program guide will be offered online beginning mid-August.  Residents will not be receiving the guide in the mail, but all facilities will have hard copies available.  There are many fun and exciting opportunities geared for lower numbers available for the entire family offered this fall.” The Park District said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.
