Bourbonnais Resident Arrested for Aggravated Battery to Disabled Child

BOURBONNAIS, IL – Bourbonnais police responded to a call Monday evening of reports of a potential domestic disturbance.

The incident led to the arrest of 27-year-old Jerrico E. Johnson, a resident of Bourbonnais, on multiple charges, including allegations of aggravated domestic battery and battery against a child under 13 with a permanent disability.

The arrest occurred around 5 p.m. on Monday. In addition to the domestic battery charges, Johnson is also facing allegations of criminal damage to property, involving items estimated to be worth between $500 and $10,000.

Further details behind the incident have yet to be released. Johnson is now being held at the Jerome Combs Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
