BOURBONNAIS – The Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Application is now available for those who qualify.

Bourbonnais Elementary School District #53 (BESD) made links to the PDF applications available on their website Tuesday.

“It is very important that you take a few minutes to complete the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Application,” BESD said in a statement Tuesday. “Please bring the completed form to your school Open House or send with your child on the first day. This form is your pathway to qualify for a free lunch.”

Changes this year make it no longer automatic like it had been in years past.  Breakfast now costs $1.86 and lunch $3.91. Children may qualify for free or reduced lunch rates. Current reduced lunch rates are $0.40 for breakfast and $0.50 for lunch.
