Bourbonnais to hold 2nd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting event with students

BOURBONNAIS – A new tradition will continue Thursday, December 1st with the second annual “Rockin’ Around the Tree Lighting” ceremony.  

The annual event welcoming in the holiday season will kick off at the corner of Main St. NW/Route 102 and S. Main St./Route 45/52 at 6 p.m.  The lighting ceremony will feature grade school students from several area schools including Alan Shepard Elementary, Bishop McNamara Catholic School and Kankakee Area Career Center.

Santa will also make a special appearance during the event, which is free to the public.
