Canine Caper: Illinois Thieves Snatch $10,000 French Bulldog from Oak Park Resident’s Yard

OAK PARK – A beloved French Bulldog worth a staggering $10,000 was snatched from its yard this week. 

According to Oak Park Police reports it happened on the morning of September 6th, sometime between 9:00 and 10:00 AM, when an unidentified culprit seized the opportunity to snatch a 50-pound, black/grayish/white French Bulldog from an Oak Park resident’s rear yard located in the 0 – 100 block of Lemoyne Parkway.

No description of the suspect has been released.

The victim, an Oak Park resident, was left heartbroken when they discovered their furry companion had vanished into thin air. The audacious thief’s method of entry remains unknown, as the gate to the yard was found unlocked, suggesting an effortless getaway.

The estimated value of the stolen dog, at  $10,000.00. Oak Park authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in solving this pet-napping mystery.
