Lincoln, IL – Central Illinois residents can expect a mostly sunny and warm day today, with temperatures reaching up to 82 degrees. However, changes are on the horizon as a warm front moving in tonight is set to bring showers and thunderstorms, particularly north of I-72.

The likelihood of precipitation increases significantly Thursday night due to an incoming cold front, which promises the best chance for rain extending into the weekend. The National Weather Service anticipates a continued warm trend with daytime highs from the mid-70s to mid-80s and nighttime lows ranging from the mid-50s to mid-60s over the next several days.

Residents should prepare for potentially disruptive weather tonight and keep an eye on further updates as the weekend approaches.
