Urbana, IL – Starting April 17, travelers on westbound Interstate 74 at the University Avenue/U.S. 150 (exit 185) interchange in Urbana will face significant detours as the Illinois Department of Transportation begins the rehabilitation of the University Avenue ramp bridge over I-74.

This construction will lead to the closure of ramps to and from westbound I-74 and a reduction of the interstate to one lane at the interchange. Detour routes will be clearly marked to guide motorists.

The project is slated for completion in August. For updates on traffic and road conditions, motorists are encouraged to visit the Illinois Department of Transportation website.
