Chicago, IL – Nearly 400,000 Facebook users reported issues with the social media platform on Tuesday morning. The bulk of the problems, as cited by affected individuals, included troubles with logging in, app malfunctions, and website access difficulties.
According to Downdetector, a real-time problem and outage monitoring service, the influx of reports began to spike at around 9 AM. This considerable disruption is notably higher than the baseline of 16 reports, signaling a significant service interruption for the platform.
Users took to alternative social networks to express their concerns and seek updates. Facebook has not yet provided an official statement on the cause of the outage or an expected resolution time.
