Chicago, IL – Chicagoans planning St. Patrick’s Day celebrations will be met with a windy forecast, as the National Weather Service Chicago reports brisk winds accompanying Saturday’s mild temperatures.

With highs between 55 to 62 degrees and gusts reaching 25 to 35 mph, outdoor festivities should be planned with the wind in mind. The blustery conditions will carry over into a cooler Sunday, with highs dipping to 38 to 43 degrees—adding an extra chill to any St. Paddy’s Day parades.

Looking ahead to Monday, expect continued cool weather with highs in the 35 to 39-degree range before a warmer reprieve on Tuesday. Residents are encouraged to bundle up in their green attire and enjoy the holiday weekend safely amidst the breezy backdrop.
