CHICAGO, IL – On Friday, the Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 East Violent Crimes Unit detained 30-year-old Steven Moore of Chicago on charges related to an alleged road rage incident. Moore faces alleged three counts of Attempted Murder (Class X Felony) after allegedly engaging in a shooting on the Interstate 94 northbound ramp to westbound Interstate 290 on April 26, 2024, around 11:08 a.m.
According to ISP reports, the suspect’s vehicle was reportedly involved in firing multiple shots at another vehicle. Fortunately, the victim was not injured. The vehicle used in the incident was later identified and located by ISP agents, leading to Moore’s arrest. Following an extensive investigation, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office confirmed the charges against Moore on April 27, 2024. He is currently held at the Riverdale Police Department awaiting a detention hearing.
