Cook County, IL – I-57 Lane and Ramp Closures Begin March 1st for Overnight Road Work

Cook County, IL – Travelers in Cook County are advised to prepare for overnight lane and ramp closures on Interstate 57 starting today, March 1st, as announced by the Illinois Department of Transportation. 

The closures are part of a patching and resurfacing project and will occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays, with extended hours on weekends. The department ensures that at least one lane will remain open in each direction during the works.
