Fountain County, IN – An Indianapolis man was arrested yesterday afternoon on Interstate 74 for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and additional misdemeanors.
According to police reports it began around 2:30 p.m., Trooper Millburg of the Indiana State Police noticed a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix speeding eastbound near the 20-mile marker, conspicuously missing one of its tires.
Anthony Hayes, 39, reportedly exhibited signs of impairment during the traffic stop, which also uncovered a suspended driver’s license and suspected marijuana in his vehicle.
Facing charges including OWI – Endangerment and Possession of Marijuana, Hayes’ arrest underscores the critical role of law enforcement in ensuring public safety on the roads.
