Countryside, IL – Swift Police Action Dismisses Threat Against Highlands Middle School

Countryside, IL – In the early hours of Valentine’s Day, a potential security concern at a local middle school was swiftly addressed by the Countryside Police Department.

According to a press release, the alert came at approximately 5:00 a.m., concerning a social media post that hinted at a threat to Highlands Middle School. Law enforcement engaged immediately, conducting a thorough assessment and determining the threat to be non-credible. 

Coordination with LaGrange Highlands School District 106 ensured that no disruption occurred to the school’s regular schedule. The police department is actively continuing the investigation to ensure the continued safety of the students and staff.
