Countryside Man Arrested in Kankakee County for Allegedly Passing $10,000 in Fake Checks

Kankakee, IL – Kankakee police arrested a Countryside, Illinois man for allegedly passing $10,000 worth of fake checks at a local credit union. Romell D. Hall, 25, was apprehended last Friday following a brief chase through the city.

According to Kankakee city police, Hall has been charged with writing between $10,000 and $50,000 worth of fake checks. He also faces charges of aggravated fleeing, driving on a suspended license, speeding, unlawful possession of cannabis, obstructing a police officer, and having outstanding warrants in DuPage and Livingston counties.

Hall is currently being held at the Jerome Combs Detention Center in Kankakee County, awaiting transfer to other agencies.
