Rockford McDonald’s Damaged After Mulch Fire Spreads to Building

Rockford, IL – A mulch fire spread to a McDonald’s on Riverside Blvd. on Tuesday afternoon, prompting a swift response from the Rockford Fire Department.

According to the Rockford Fire Department, the blaze was initially reported as a mulch fire at 2:20 PM but quickly escalated to a structure fire as it spread to the building. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the total damage to the building has not yet been determined.
