Elmhurst, IL – Pedestrian Struck by Train, Investigation Underway, Service Suspended

Elmhurst, IL – Emergency services responded to a critical incident at the York Rd. and First St. railroad crossing, where a pedestrian was struck by a train. 

The incident occurred on Sunday night around 5:30 pm. According to the Elmhurst Police Department, all train services in the area have been temporarily suspended, affecting both directions. Additionally, York Rd. and First St. are closed as authorities conduct their investigation. The public is urged to avoid the area for the time being. 

The Elmhurst Police, along with Metra Police, are actively investigating the circumstances of the incident. Further details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
